Florida Friday Vol. 1, Issue 3 | September 25, 2015

October half term is looming and families are no doubt looking for fun-filled getaways. The week-long holiday culminates with Halloween, so why not encourage any clients looking for last minute Florida fly-drive deals to combine their holiday plans with Hertz car rental and a celebration of all things ghoulish by including Orlando's world-famous theme parks, where all manner of horror awaits.

This year, Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights will be celebrating 25 years of the most pulse-racing moments in horror history. Consistently ranked as the best in the USA, this is the nail-in-the-coffin of Halloween events. As dusk falls, the streets of Universal Studios Florida will be transformed into scenes straight out of the horror classics, and your worst nightmares.

Expect terrifying haunted houses, petrifying scenery, teams of scream-inducing characters and fear-provoking live shows as iconic slasher films, hit horror video games and bloodcurdling original stories, specifically created by Universal's Entertainment team, are brought back to life.

Two ticket options are available over the October half term which allow UK visitors to experience the most intense event in haunted history.

The other haunting highlights on Orlando's Halloween calendar are:

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom Park plays host to the ultimate trick-or-treating neighbourhood. Guests are invited to dress up in their favourite Halloween costumes for trick-or-treating and meet and greets with Disney characters in Halloween costumes. Led by the infamous Headless Horseman, "Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade," runs twice nightly, followed by "HalloWishes," a green and orange fireworks display complete with Disney villains.

SeaWorld's Halloween Spooktacular invites families to dive in and explore an underwater "fantasea" at their family-friendly event where children can trick-or-treat, dance with fanciful sea creatures, and create sea-themed arts and crafts. Included with park admission, guests can enjoy the wonders of the sea at Penelope's Party Zone, search for hidden "sea" treasures using their Spooktacular maps and stroll among colourful, playful schools of pumpkin fish and other whimsical characters like Penelope Pumpkin fish and Shamu.

LEGOLAND Florida's Brick-or-Treat will transform Miniland USA into a haunted but fun scavenger hunt where guests can find scary LEGO creatures. Kids can participate in a costume contest, trick-or-treat along the brick-or-treat trail, build unique LEGO model activities, and witness the largest LEGO Jack-O-Lantern in the world. Event admission is included with regular park admission.

Hertz car hire is available from over 300 spine-tingling locations across the State with family car hire starting from a spookily-good 130 per week.
